Deterniners Grammar

Modern Grammar में functions के आधार पर कुछ words को Determiners के नाम से एक अलग Part of speech के अंतर्गत रखा गया है। ये पहले adjectives के अंतगर्त रखे जाते थे।

Adjectives और  Determiners में निम्नलिखित differences है -

1. Adjectives जिस noun के साथ आते है वे उसका कोई गुण या विशेषता बतलाते है। 
2. Detetminers जिस noun के साथ आते है वे उसका कोई गुण या विशेषता नहीं बतलाते बल्कि उसका number या quantity बतलाते है। 
3. इसके अलावा भी दोनों के functions व use में निम्नलिखित अंतर है -

1. Adjectives का उपयोग दोनों प्रकार से -attributively (i.e., before a noun) तथा predicatively (i.e., after alinking verb) किया जा सकता है। 

As- The tall boy is tall.

किन्तु determiners का प्रयोग pronominal functions को छोड़कर जिसके लिए कुछ के फॉर्म्स भी अलग होते है - केवल attributively ही किया जा सकता है 

2. Communication की आवश्यकता के अनुसार एक से ज्यादा adjectives एक साथ उपयोग किया जा सकते है। 

As- a veryattractive large black belt.

किन्तु कुछ को छोड़कर दो determiners एक साथ नहीं आते। 

3. Adjectives को adverb of degree dvara modify किया जा सकता है।

As- Very tall boy too heavy a table etc.

तथा उनकी तीन degrees-porsitive comparative व superlative भी होती है। Determiners का इस प्रकार उपयोग नहीं होता।

Determiners का इस प्रकार उपयोग नहीं होता।
